Malin Wik
Research
I am a doctoral student in information systems focusing on human-computer interaction. I am interested in techniques and methods for involving users in systems development processes. One fruitful way is to use interactive and malleable prototypes.
I partake in the development of the Wizard-of-Oz (WOz) system called Ozlab at Information Systems at Karlstad University: https://www.kau.se/en/ozlab
I am also part of Incredilab and have participated in previous research projects within the CriseIT network: http://www.criseit.org/about-criseit/
Teaching
I'm involved in courses on user tests and interaction design:
- User tests, prototyping and evaluation
- Interaction design
- Prototyping: To explore and communicate design concepts
- Service management and information technology: E-Business
- Co-design and user-centred systems development
I also teach and supervise students in many other Information Systems courses, such as the bachelor thesis course. I'm also responsible for a workshop on gender equality and IT in the course Acquisition of Information Systems (campus and distance).
I was previously the coordinator of the undergraduate programme Web and Multimedia (now Web developer).
