About Music 60 (ECTS credits)
Music 60 credits is a one-year course that prepares for higher music studies and focuses on instrumental proficiency as well as ensemble and orchestral playing.

The main instrument instruction includes individual lessons as well as joint lessons with everyone in the respective instrument group at Ingesund. A largely individually tailored basic music theory course is mandatory, as well as choir singing and playing in small and large ensembles.
Applications for the program open until March 17, 2025.
SKILL TEST
Applicants for the Music course (60 credits) must complete two skill tests as described on this page:
- Main Instrument Test
- Music Theory Test
Main instrument audition
The skill test in your main instrument is conducted by recording video clips, which you then sent to the Ingesund School of Music. The main instrument test you need to perform depends on the genre area you feel most comfortable in. Click on the links below for information about the genre orientations and how to complete your tests:
You are only required to take one entrance test on your main instrument even if you are also applying to the Ingesund Folk High School College Music Programme and/or the Music Teacher Programme.
Music theory entrance test
The music theory test for the Music 60 credits course is mandatory but has a diagnostic function. This means that the applicant's test results are only used to appropriately place them into music theory groups for the start of the autumn term.
Applicants who, after passing the main instrument tests, are offered a place in the Music 60 credits course or the Music College program will be contacted with information about the music theory test, which will take place remotely during the summer of 2025.
