ENTRANCE EXAMS FOR THE MASTER PROGRAMME IN MUSIC
The entrance exams for the Master Programme in Music are conducted online by sending in videos. The application is open to those who hold a Bachelor's degree.

The autumn semester starts at Ingesund School of Music
The entry requirements to the Master Programme in Music comprises both general entry requirements (completed upper secondary education or equivalent) and specific entry requirements in the form of passing the entrance exams in the main instrument as well as music theory.
Main instrument entrance examination
Everyone who applies for the Master Programme in Music at Ingesund School of Music, starting in the autumn semester 2024, must perform entrance exams in their chosen main instrument. In order to be assessed, applicants shall demonstrate their ability for artistic performance as well as technical skills with their main instrument.
The deadline for submitting videos for entrance examinations is on 13 February 2025.
An invitation to the entrance examinations will be sent to the email address stated in the application submitted at UniversityAdmissions.se. Information about how to submit your videos will be provided via email after the deadline has expired.

Eligibility requirements
To qualify for admission to the Master Programme in Music, you must have a Bachelor's degree in music at the latest by the summer before the first semester begins. Along with your application, you should submit your degree certificate or equivalent documentation that verifies your eligibility. If you have not yet completed your Bachelor's degree, you should instead provide a certificate from your university indicating that your education is expected to be completed by the end of the spring semester. In addition to meeting these requirements, you will also need to demonstrate specific proficiency through skill assessments in your primary instrument as mentioned above.
