CBU and the illustrations
Children's book author, artist, and illustrator Stina Wirsén was commissioned to create illustrations to reflect the Center for Research on Children's and Young People's Mental Health and Living Conditions.

Children's book author, artist, and illustrator Stina Wirsén was commissioned to create illustrations to reflect the Center for Research on Children's and Young People's Mental Health and Living Conditions.
Stina Wirsén started creating picture books during her studies, and since then she has produced over 100 children's books with texts by herself or other authors. She does not shy away from difficult subjects and has, among other things, collaborated with Hédi Fried. The books have also reached an international audience and have been translated into fifteen languages. The child and the child's perspective come first in her works.
The illustrations are exclusive to CBU, and here is what Stina Wirsén thought about the commission:
"Interpersonal relationships are a recurring theme for me, in my artistic work and in commissions. I try to distill and amplify emotional expressions and moods. The assignment suited me, and I am happy to be part of this important project."
Stina Wirsén
All illustrations are produced with limited usage rights for CBU at Karlstad University, which owns the image rights.
