History of Mathematics

The focus of the course is to study selected parts of the history of mathematics that are agreed between the examiner and the doctoral student, where connection to doctoral projects is sought. These studies are mainly carried out as self-studies with instructions from the examiner.

Furthermore, lectures and seminars are included where a historical perspective on current mathematical research is offered.
