Symmetries: groups, algebras and tensor calculus

The aim of this course is that the students acquire basic as well as in depth knowledge of various mathematical structures which appear in the description of symmetries in physics, in particular in quantum mechanics and quantum field theory.

Mathematics and Physics 120 ECTS credits, including Mathematics 45 ECTS credits and Physics 15 ECTS credits, or equivalent. Upper secondary level English 6, or equivalent.
