Intercultural Communication
15.0 ECTS creditsThe course is an introduction to intercultural communication as a social practice and a field of research. It provides an overview of intercultural theories on culture, language, and communication with a special focus on language use across cultural and linguistic boundaries. Other areas covered in the course include the relationships between culture and identity, culture and nation, and verbal and non-verbal communication. The course is based on critical perspectives and intercultural awareness. Language of instruction is English and students from different parts of the world take the course.
