Sustainable development and regional perspectives
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course comprises the following components:
-Presentation of the problem area of sustainable development as a global goal in regional practice
-Treatment and discussion of sustainable development as a global goal in regional practice
-Review of a number of current cases from different perspectives relevant to the area
-Active participation, critical reflection and oral and written scholarly argumentation.
Instruction is in the form of lectures and seminars.

Admission requirements:
Upper secondary school level English 6 or equivalent.
Programme students: see general admission requirements for the Master programme Region Building (SAREG).
Non-programme students: Undergraduate courses in social science subjects totalling 120 ECTS cr., with 90 credits completed, including a degree project 15 ECTS cr., in one of the following main field of studies: History, Human Geography, Political Science, Tourism Studies or Environmental Science with a social science profile, or an engineering degree in GIT with a social science profile, or equivalent.
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
