Scholarships via Karlstad University's Scholarship Committee

Karlstad University have a number of scholarships that are announced via the university’s scholarship committee. You can find more detailed information about the scholarships and how to apply on the page of each scholarship. The application period is between 15 March and 12 April. If no one is awarded a specific scholarship during the spring semester it may be announced again in September/October. You need a Varbi account in order to apply.

The scholarships are available for students at Karlstad University. You can find information and links below, and during the application period you can also find information on the noticeboard located close to the Study and Career Guidance Office and the Students’ Union Office.

Jubileumsfonden för Värmland
The aim of the scholarships is to encourage and reward students who have contributed to the future development of Värmland through their studies and excellent results.

Samfonden –Karlstads Folkskoleseminariums minnesfond – travel scholarships
Awarded to students within the teacher training programmes and the child and youth education programmes. The scholarship is primarily a travel grant to students conducting a project, e.g. degree project, abroad.

Awarded to students in the field of technology who have developed an idea that could lead to a patent or manufacturing in Sweden.

Awarded to doctoral students for interdisciplinary studies abroad in the spirit of Erik Gustaf Geijer.

Stiftelsen Eva och Henrys stipendiefond
Awarded to a student with an entrepreneurial spirit who studies science or technology and has some element of economics in their studies for a stay in a non-Swedish-speaking environment for activities related to the studies. Available to apply both for undergraduate and advanced level students and for PhD students.
