Although this is a workplace where most people speak English fairly well and where important information is available in English, it is always valuable and useful to have some understanding of Swedish, not least since the university is a public authority regulated by administrative law. 

Swedish Language Course for International Employees at Karlstad University

The aim of the course is to give non-Swedish speaking employees at Karlstad University the opportunity to acquire basic knowledge and skills in the Swedish language. The course comprises approximately 70 tuition hours scheduled twice a week during the autumn term and once a week during the spring term.
