Salman Raza Naqvi, senior lecturer in chemical engineering, has been awarded a medal by the Government of Pakistan for his research.
– I feel very honored and it was a nice ceremony where I got to receive the award that was presented by the president at a ceremony where many prominent scientists were honored, says Salman Raza Naqvi.
The justification for the Excellencies in Research and Education in Chemical Engineering award is Salman's very extensive publication record of over 190 published articles and over 6,000 citations. His research concerns biomass conversion into biofuels and chemicals, biochar production and its applications, and digitalization in chemical engineering.
Came to Karlstad University in autumn 2023
– During 2018, I was visiting here at Karlstad University and I felt that the research environment here on the subject of chemical engineering suited me very well. When a suitable position appeared, I applied and we moved here last fall, says Salman. We, that is to say me, my wife and our two children, are enjoying themselves here in Karlstad, even though it is obviously a change for the whole family.
