ARIES4
The ARIES4 project will develop a suite of resources for multi-helix stakeholders within Smart Specialisation, the EU´s innovation policy characterised by the identification and strengthening of regional competitive advantages. In particular, ARIES4 seeks ways in which the existing policy iteration (S3) can transition into one in which sustainability is a core factor, the so-called S4+.

What do you do today?
“I am an assistant auditor at Grant Thornton and work in Karlstad. After graduation, I immediately got a job at PWC in Norrköping. I really felt that it was the right job for me, but my girlfriend was still in Karlstad and a long-distance relationship is not that easy. So I moved back to Karlstad and switched to Grant Thornton. This time it was also easy to find employment because of what I had studied at the Karlstad Business School and my theoretical background.

CRE8® is a fast-paced method for competing in creative problem solving, with an emphasis on innovation. Three to four interdisciplinary teams of students test their problem-solving abilities and pitched their solutions to a jury. The teams are given real cases from researchers, companies and the public sector.

In order to ensure that our educations are well adapted to the needs of the labor market, we regularly follow up the alumni who have graduated from the School of Business and Economics.
During the years 2017-2023, 3065 people graduated from the Business School. Of these, 39 percent were men and 61 percent women.
An international perspective is a given in the media industry. Using your elective term to study abroad is not only a smart thing to do, but also an adventure which will prepare you for a future career and life in general.
A broad general education, personal motivation, and an ability to understand people and contexts related to different cultures are all important traits for a media career. This is true for both private and public employers.
On Wednesday, October 30, the computer science department hosted a thesis project fair to help establish connections between students who have applied for thesis projects for the spring and potential sponsors.
11 companies and organizations participated along with around 40 students.

- The Business School and Karlstad University's international office participated in the conference together with 7,300 representatives from universities around the world.
- This year's theme was "En Route". From Sweden, nine other universities from all over the country participated to market Sweden as a study destination.

This project aims at fostering capacity building in the field of Smart Grids by the development of a harmonized, modular curriculum. The selection of partner countries considers the different stages of a technology transfer in the field of Smart Grid in Africa to be able to use synergies.
In Tanzania, the provision of reliable and affordable energy to consumers is listed as one important goal to ensure growth and reduction of poverty.

Professor Granberg has been appointed honorary professor at RMIT's School of Global, Urban and Social Studies (GUSS). And, through this appointment, Granberg also holds a position as associated researcher at RMIT's Centre for Urban Research.
KLF Karlstad Lean Factory® - A regional laboratory for Lean Production at Karlstad University, Sweden.
Karlstad University has designed and built a unique training environment for Lean Production. The laboratory consists of a flexible full-scale physical simulation environment. Apart from being a training facility, it is a meeting place for regional companies and academia, creating opportunities for organization and realization of efficient knowledge transfer.
The pro-Palestinian protests that are taking place at universities and university colleges around the world have now also reached Karlstad.
On the night of Thursday 16 May, a group of protesters set up tents in the park next to the main entrance of Karlstad University.

Global Mobilities (GM) is a crucial theme for Karlstad Centre for Gender Research (CGF) in recognition of this cutting edge aspect of contemporary research in gender studies. GM Is a central feature of modernity. Modernity has produced ever increasing movements of people, knowledge, technology, value systems and cultural and other material objects. This aspect of modernity produces both reveals and produces new tensions in power relations across the global and within national contexts.
Children and young people living in families where an adult relative is ill, has substance abuse problems, has a disability, subjects the child or a relative to violence, or unexpectedly dies, are covered by the term children as relatives.

- The Bachelor’s programme in IT, Project Management and ERP Systems from 2018 to 2020, and the Master’s programme in Information Systems from 2020 to 2022.
Why did a Master’s programme at Karlstad Business School appeal to you?
- I already had a career when I was looking for programmes, and I needed my studies to be 100% remote.

Att arbete är könskodat är väletablerat. Olika yrken, befattningar och arbetsuppgifter är könsmärkta/genuskodade, det vill säga antas vara mer eller mindre lämpade för ett visst kön (Acker, 1990). Likaså är arbetsmarknaden en del av att skapa och återskapa genusrelationer (McDowell, 1999, 2004). Arbetsmarknaden formas med andra ord av uppfattningar om könsspecifika ’lämpliga’ arbetsuppgifter, men den är också aktiv i att skapa dessa uppfattningar.
