Collaboration: undergraduate studies and external research
The ambition of the Spatial and Social Planning Programme is to offer education in close collaboration with society at large. Collaboration involves field trips, visits from guest lecturers, and reference groups among employers.
This is exciting times for everyone involved. The research project can actually start!
For you as a project manager this involves many tasks eg. planning, monitoring activities, managing funds and reporting. It is essential for the project manager to understand and fulfill the requirements of the funder and act in compliance with the regulations and policies of the University. This will protect you from potential problems with funders or collaborators.

In this panel, the focus is on the continuity and changes in the conflict between labor and capital and how it is manifested in the everyday life of workers and workplace struggles. 40 years of neoliberal labor market politics have in many ways transformed the Swedish labor market weakening workers as a collective and unions.

Kristina Palm is from Grödinge, 30 kilometres south of Stockholm. She is an electrical engineer, specialised in quality technology. She graduated from the Royal Institute of Technology, KTH. She is has a Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Science and is a docent at KTH. Here doctoral thesis examined work engagement.
If you are a non-EU citizen, the first thing you need to do is to apply for a residence permit. In Sweden, residence permits are handled by the Swedish Migration Agency. If you are an EU citizen, you are free to move to Sweden at any time to start working.

The KAU card is a personal card that functions as a keycard, library card and print card.
Updates May 2024: After a major system upgrade the order portal has changed, and the new cards will have a different layout. The current KAU-cards will not be affected by this, though! You simply keep your card and continue using it normally.

Jana Huck will conduct her doctoral studies in the field of innovation management, focusing on service innovation and its implementation.

These are all examples of smart units gaining more ground in our everyday lives. Participants in the SNITS lunch on 6 November learned more about the Internet of Things and the technology behind it.
The Internet of Things refers to devices that are not traditionally networked, such as watches, toys and machines.

Sture Nordh grew up on a farm in Västerbotten, near Skellefteå, in a family of active members of associations and societies. As a child he listened to discussions in board meetings relating to agriculture, church and politics, in the big farm kitchen.
Ph D Student Pablo Moreno from the Spanish Science and Education Ministry will be a visiting us until end of December. We asked him what kind of research he is working on within his doctoral studies.
- My research area is within service innovation. I focus on different
relationships among customers and frontline employees, and their involvement in each of the developmental stages of new services.
With an ever-escalating threat scenario, more companies and organizations are beginning to conduct active cyber security work and the demand for competence in the field is steadily increasing.
