Informations Systems: Practical Training
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course includes workplace practical training in the information systems field, which can entail analysis of business as well as system development and be performed in public or private organisations. The training should encompass varied tasks at a workplace. Under supervision students practise and perform qualified, regular tasks, which should be related to completed coursework and offer opportunities to use and develop their prior knowledge and skills in the subject information systems.
Student and supervisor draw up a plan for the training with due regard to the guidelines above.Students should be given the opportunity to perform tasks according to special instructions.
The course comprises the following components:
1) Introductory seminar
2) Workplace task performance
3) Final seminar
Students develop their theoretical knowledge by participating in seminars and document their experiences in an 8 to12-page report and present and discuss them at a concluding seminar. Distance students need equipment for Internet communication including web camera to follow the course.

Information Systems 60 ECTS cr of which 30 ECTS cr must be first-level subject courses.
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
