Ensemble V, Western classical music
7.5 ECTS creditsStudents study and perform Western classical music repertoires for various ensemble constellations in different styles and from various epochs as well as repertoire that is based on cross-generic musical forms, artistic areas, and means of expression. They problematise and solve technique and rendition problems relating to style, performance praxis, notation issues, and interpretation in various areas of music and ensemble constellations. They also critically reflect upon and problematise choice of artistic approach, expression and performance as well as development potentials and the need of further skills. Students whose main instrument is the piano also practise accompaniment. Parts of the repertoire are performed in concerts.
Instruction is in the form of group lessons and concentrated rehearsals during project weeks.
