Technical services based on IT solutions are becoming increasingly common in many manufacturing industries, but many questions still remain concerning for example, how it affects relationships, and how to create a profitable business models. P?teris Rudz?js, Riga Technical University, presented parts of his forthcoming thesis entitled "Development of Education Demand and Offer Information Monitoring System's Model".
The event were at Information Systems coffee room the 4th of March.

Researchers at CTF are currently testing Oculus Rift in CTF Consumer Lab. Oculus Rift is a technique used in the gaming world to maximize the game experience. Through special glasses the user can see different scenarios and the experience becomes more real, like being in the middle of a 3D movie.
- Within our consumer research we are conducting studies both in our lab and on-site in stores.

- It is going well, thank you! My main focus is primarily on employee involvement in service innovation, but
from April last year I have also participated in the project “User-Oriented Innovation in primary care through innovation teams”. The aim of the project is to improve patients’ well-being as well as raise the level of innovation and reduce costs in primary care.

Roughly 50 students and professionals in the IT industry met at this year's kick-off meeting for the mentoring program on 19 February. Expectations in the air among both novices as mentors.
Katarina Groth, a teacher of informatics, holding this year's mentoring program. She informed about the framework and gave tips for a successful mentor-mentee relationship.
- Being a mentor is to be an interested and good listener and be open to sharing their experiences.
